Hello members of the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Association! I hope everybody has enjoyed their summer and that you all are excited to kick off the upcoming year. My name is Theresa Depew, RDH, and I am honored to be serving my 2nd year as president of the GFWDHA. I am also celebrating my 10-year anniversary in dental hygiene, 10 years as an active member of the Association, and 10 years with my employer! I have much to celebrate and am grateful for it all.

This year will be exciting, and busy, as it is a legislative year. I encourage everybody to start reaching out to your local congressional representatives, and networking with them if possible, as we move forward with the hope of passing a local anesthesia bill this year. Remember, “NEVER GIVE UP!”

Jordan Wright and Cindy Crisler have many great speakers planned for our CE courses this year. The 1-hour courses are free for members at our monthly meetings, and very affordable 4-hour courses available every few months, so this is a great way to get your CE credits.

Last, if you’ve ever thought about being more active with the Association, we would love to have you join us! It’s a great way to network and make new and lasting friendships, while helping to support the efforts of local dental hygienists’ make an impact in our communities. If you’d like more information on volunteer opportunities, you can visit our website at and email me through the link on our website.

I’m looking forward to an exciting, fun, and prosperous year with you all!

In loving service,
Theresa Depew, RDH
GFWDHA President

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for electing me as your new trustee for the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Society, as well as tell you a little about myself. My name is Sarabeth Ballard, and I have been in the dental field for nearly 15 years. I recently made the decision to follow my dream by returning to school and earning my Dental Hygiene degree. I love being a Hygienist; it has definitely proven to be my passion! I am currently working for two private practice dentist offices, both specializing in general dentistry. I work at one of the offices fulltime, while working part time for the other. I have been happily married to my wonderful husband Chris for nearly ten years, and we share our home with our loving dog Marley. I cannot express how much I appreciate all of you entrusting me with the responsibility to being your trustee. I cannot thank you enough putting your faith in me and electing me to fill this roll, I am confident I will not let you down.

Your Trustee,
Sarabeth Ballard
