FROM THE PRESIDENT

PRESIDENTIAL UPDATE:

Hello members of GFWDHA! I’d like to begin this greeting thanking you all for allowing me to serve as your president. I consider it a great honor, and I am looking forward to a fun and productive year!
I would like to inform you that we have recently changed our name from Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Society to Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Association. This keeps us in accordance with some new ADHA guidelines. Please be patient with us as we get the new name in place on the website and all printed materials.
I hope everyone has had a great summer, but autumn will be here before we know it! I’d like to thank Cindy Crisler and Jordan Wright for putting together some interesting CE courses for this upcoming year. I hope our members take advantage of these great opportunities for fulfilling their CE requirements.
TDHA Annual Conference will be held February 1-4, 2018 in Frisco, Texas. If you are interested in attending as a delegate for GFWDHA, please contact your trustee, SaraBeth Ballard, for more information. If you have any questions or there is any way I may be of assistance to you, please feel free to contact me through the link on the GFWDHA website.
In loving service,
Theresa Depew, RDH

TRUSTEE UPDATE:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for electing me as your new trustee for the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Society, as well as tell you a little about myself. My name is Sarabeth Ballard, and I have been in the dental field for nearly 15 years. I recently made the decision to follow my dream by returning to school and earning my Dental Hygiene degree. I love being a Hygienist; it has definitely proven to be my passion! I am currently working for two private practice dentist offices, both specializing in general dentistry. I work at one of the offices fulltime, while working part time for the other. I have been happily married to my wonderful husband Chris for nearly ten years, and we share our home with our loving dog Marley. I cannot express how much I appreciate all of you entrusting me with the responsibility to being your trustee. I cannot thank you enough putting your faith in me and electing me to fill this roll, I am confident I will not let you down.
Your Trustee,
Sarabeth Ballard
